About the Artist

Have you walked into a room and see a painting and it just makes you smile?  That is the power of art. It connects us on an emotional level. For artist, Kathleen Beausoleil, art has the power to make sense of the things in the world you can’t understand any other way.  In your home, art adds personality and warmth. It provokes thought and sparks conversation.

Beausoleil has lived most of her life in Monmouth County, New Jersey, only leaving to study art in college and delve into her professional career. Eventually, she returned to raise her children and has continued her career as a professional artist and teacher out of Fair Haven, NJ.

Kathleen enjoys focusing on people and uses her vast techniques of photo realism and  impressionism to convey her thoughts. Some work is gestural and other are labor intensive which involve stripping down brushes to one or two hairs.

These paintings are intimate.  They are of her life, the regular moments, and how she sees the world and makes sense of it. She finds the beauty, or peace, within the daily monsoons. Her work is a snapshot of a moment, a conversation, or a memory. Each one tells a different story, and by viewing her work she hopes to extend those narratives to you.
